According to official website, this particular variety of Starry Rosinweed only grows in 20 of Florida's west coast counties (see the map); Zones 8 - 10. Florida native flower, tough and long-lived perennial, keeps producing very attractive yellow daisies with distinctive green disc behind the petals. This is just another one of the overlooked native plants with lots of horticultural potential.

Starry Rosinweed is the perfect plant for Florida natural landscaping.

Starry Rosinweed blooms reportedly in spring and fall in some areas and in others almost year-round. When blooming, the plant can be anywhere from 1 to 4 feet tall (most likely depending on growing conditions).

Starry Rosinweed's flowers are showy, spectacular and attractive, but not only to human's eye but also for countless interesting insects which are buzzing around with delight.

In cultivation Starry Rosinweed needs little maintenance other than removal of old stems and flower stalks. Growing conditions: well-drained soil, full sun to part shade. Can be propagated by seeds or division.
Note: Long-lived perennial wildflowers are slow to establish. Once established, Starry Rosinweed grows moderately fast. But in its first year Starry Rosinweed is growing its deep and extensive root system.
