Thymes come in many varieties, in
many flavors and scents but always with the hairy underside of the leaves.
Upright growing varieties have more flavor, creeping varieties (also edible)
make an excellent ground cover.
Thyme is a perennial, it prefers alkaline, light and well drained soil, full
sun. When planted next to potatoes and eggplant, it enhances growth of both.
